Averages from measured iPhone files. Real libraries mix formats; ProRAW and video dominate.

That's the math. Now the work. Odoa deletes the junk biggest-first, groups duplicates, and holds everything in a Trash with undo β€” all on your iPhone.

The format matters more than the count

10,000 HEIC shots use ~16GB. The same 10,000 as ProRAW 48MP use ~750GB β€” they wouldn't fit on any iPhone. Before asking "how many photos is too many" (we wrote a whole guide on that question), check which format you're shooting: Settings > Camera > Formats. Details in HEIC vs JPEG and our 128GB breakdown (64–512GB included).

Count is a vanity metric β€” weight is the truth

Deleting 1,000 HEIC photos frees 1.6GB. Deleting five 4K clips frees the same. That's why Odoa sorts by size instead of date: the top of the list is where gigabytes live. See how to clean up your camera roll for the method.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos can 128GB hold?
~80,000 HEIC or ~32,000 JPEG β€” minus iOS, apps and videos. Full table in our 128GB guide.
How big is a ProRAW photo?
~25MB at 12MP, up to ~75MB at 48MP. A hundred can outweigh ten thousand HEIC shots.
Do Live Photos use more space?
Roughly double a still (~3-5MB). Turn off Live for everyday shots you don't need moving.

Know your number? Now shrink it.

Odoa finds the photos and videos behind the number β€” biggest wasters first, all on your iPhone.
